Ron researching optimal midday home light
I’m Ron, HomeGlo founder. I first bought smart bulbs in 2013 expecting a fun gimmick. My home felt shockingly nicer. I soon changed every bulb in the house, quizzing friends and family on what settings felt best. I didn’t understand why smart lights weren’t more popular until a friend asked me to set them up in his home: it took a week and 5,000 steps.
Today
HomeGlo helps people buy and coordinate smart products. The equipment costs more than traditional light, but set up correctly, the impact on the home’s feeling and residents’ sleep is massive. 100% of HomeGlo’s customers love it – none can go back to traditional light.
Background
Ron has a civil engineering degree from Cornell University that he doesn’t really use. He opened a video rental / pizzeria in NYC, then worked at the intersection of HR and technology at Citigroup for 18 years before traveling and spending quality time with old friends. Now he’s settled in North Carolina’s Triangle, living his dream of changing light bulbs for a living.
