Intuitive Light: design

Smart Lights
Smart lights are a prerequisite for Intuitive Light – they have a wireless chip that lets a brain tell them to turn on, off, brighten, dim, and change color. Smart lights allow fun stuff like holiday-color lights and lights that dance to music. But most important, they enable the ingredients needed for Intuitive Light.

Glo Schedule
A Glo Schedule is the foundation of Intuitive Light. It maps time of day to the warmth, intensity and blue-light level of light based on the home’s residents’ schedule. From midday: bright, energizing white to middle-of-night: warm, soothing, and mellow.

How HomeGlo Works
Physical Controls
When the Glo Schedule isn’t quite right – dinner runs late or a late-night Monopoly game breaks out – adjusting needs to be super-simple. Siri, Alexa or an app can be great. But physical controls at each room’s entry and by the couch, bed and desk is necessary for Intuitive Light:
- visitors don’t need training
- your phone doesn’t need to be nearby
- you won’t be misunderstood by Alexa when you’re fumbling to light a dark room

How HomeGlo Works
Automatic On
What’s more intuitive than having the right light without doing anything? Halls, stairwells, entries, and closets are often under-lit because we don’t bother flipping a switch only to flip it back in a few moments. A presence detector that automatically turns on lights to a home’s Glo Schedule is magic. You’ll immediately feel more comfortable in these perfectly lit spaces.
